One of the Midlink Group Of Companies, ECOTEC CNG (Pvt) Ltd., was established in 1992. As a pioneer in the field of promotion of compressed natural gas (CNG) as an environmentally friendly fuel for automotive application. A dedicated refueling facility was set up for SUI SOUTHERN GAS CO (SSGC) LTD and all SSGC vehicles were converted to CNG, which included their fleet of diesel vehicles. This was an achievement that had not been tried anywhere else in the world at that time. ECOTEC CENTER, an ECOTEC refueling facility refills private and public vehicles and located adjacent to SSGC terminal on the University road.
